Better late than never with the Easter pics, right? Easter weekend was busy and fun. I was kinda bummed out by the weather...I love when Easter is warm. Saturday we started with our neighborhood egg hunt. We took Jack's two little friends, Conner and Mayson, that live across the street with us. I love that he has friends...its so cute to see him developing friendships. It was all fun and games until Conner got an egg with a "prize" ticket in it, that he got to exchange for a whistle, and Jack and Mayson didn't. Oh my, you would have thought someone peed in their Easter baskets the way those two threw a fit! Halle just tried to suck on as many plastic eggs as she could get ahold of.Saturday night we had Randy's family out for dinner and another egg hunt that Grandma did for the kids. It was FREEZING outside...so the hunt didn't last long, but the kids had fun. We also celebrated Chase's birthday. Love that kid! And yes that is a plastic owl on the ground in my backyard. It's supposed to scare away the birds that have been pooping all over our deck...but it mostly just gets drug around the yard by Jack.
And there's Halle again with an egg in her mouth...shocking!
Sunday Randy was sick, so I took the kids to my Grandma's house for a party with my mom's side of the family. After I ate about 6 of my Grandma's deviled eggs that are to die for, we had egg hunt #3! My cute Aunt Shauna did the hunt, and the kids got some good stuff!
This picture makes me laugh because Jack booked it out the door as soon as we said go! Randy taught him to not mess with the eggs at the front of the yard, and to head right for the back, cause all the other kids will stop at the first eggs they see, and if he runs to the back there will be less traffic. A valuable life lesson from father to son!
This picture sums up these two's relationship right now. Back off sista...these are mine. Jack is starting to get a little possessive...but that's all part of the sibling game right?
And here's Hal...trying to decide which of these eggs to put in her mouth first.
I managed to steal all of the Reese's peanut butter eggs out of the kids baskets, so I would say it was a successful weekend!
