Twas the night before Christmas...

Christmas Eve was at Randy's parents this year. His mom always makes the same meal and we eat by candlelight...such a fun tradition. It killed Jack to have to sit there and not blow out all the candles! Before dinner the kids did a Nativity play. It was so cute to see Jack get excited about being a shepherd. He stood quietly to the side until Uncle Todd read where the shepherds came in, and as soon as he heard the word shepherd he let out a big yahoo and ran into the scene. After dinner we opened gifts. My favorite was a new crock pot (that's how you know you're gettin old and lame!). Randy got a generator? Not sure what it does but he seemed stoked about it. Halle got some cute outfits, but the mother of all presents had to be Jack getting the movie Mary Poppins. I can't even tell you how many times I've had to rent that dang thing at the video store. It's the only thing he wants to watch these days...and has watched it probably 8 times since he got it. Then it was into jammies and home to bed. Jack fell asleep on the way home so we had to spread his magic reindeer food out on the deck for him. It was our first time sleeping at our own house for Christmas morning...and I loved playing Santa and setting everything out. Here are some more pictures from the night...
